Desperate Housewives seasons are comedy dramas which show private lives of four leading characters through the eyes of a dead neighbor. The theme music of the show ‘Danny Elfman’ has been composed by Steve Bartek, Stewart Copeland and Steve Jablonsky. Tom Spezialy, Michael Edelstein, Joe Keenan, George W. Perkins, Bob Daily, John Pardee & Joey Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Chris Black, Larry Shaw, David Grossman share the responsibilities of co executive producers with Mark Cherry, the creator and producer of the show. All seasons are narrated by Brenda Strong. ‘Desperate housewives’ season 1 was premiered on 3rd October, 2009 on ABC channel.
‘Desperate Housewives’ seasons are all set in a fictional town of America revolving around four ladies Susan Mayer, Lynette Scavo, Bree Van de Kamp and Gabrielle Solis. The first one is a divorced mother in search of love and becomes interested in her new neighbor, Mike Delfino. The second one stays at home with his four children and the third one appears to be a perfect mother whose marriage is in danger. Fourth one is an ex-model, whose unhappy marriage resulted in her affair with a 17 year old boy, his gardener. It showcases the secrets, mysteries, crimes hidden behind the good looking faces covered with smiles. These concealed actions are shown through a deceased lady, Mary Alice Young, who resided in neighborhood before committing suicide.
The series have been praised by the fans as well critics since its very first episode and has been honored as the ‘most popular show’ in 2007. According to official reports, about 120 million people watch this show on regular basis. The show has also won several awards from Screen Actors Guild, Emmy Awards and Golden Globe. Desperate housewives season 6 will hit screens on 27th September, 2009.
